I am a HUGE candle freak. I have candles all over my apartment. I use them to decorate and to bring a nice, homey smell. Especially in the fall and winter. My question is this: Do the candle colors need to match the room decor? It is probably best if they do, correct? I try to match them with the decor, unless it is a jar candle. It is a little limiting, though. If there is a fragrance I like, and it is a color that isn’t in my home, I don’t buy it unless it is a jar candle. Is this correct? Also, do the fragrances need to necessarily compliment each other? Or do you think the fragrance pretty much stays in the one room?

If so, would you please let me know how I could make some at home. Thanks!

For ambiance at my outdoor wedding, I want to make mason jar candles. By hot gluing the base of a votive candle to the jar, would it stay in place?
Also, I will tie wire around the mouth of the jar, but I want to hang the wire by ribbon to hooks on the patio ceiling. Will the ribbon get too hot and burn? I want to see if anyone else has done this!

I’ve heard that gel candles catch on fire really easy and I was wondering if that is true, also do they last as long or longer than traditional wax? Thanks!

If gel candles can be placed in a candle mold, what would be the best gel density to use (High, Medium or low)?
