The Bible is very clear: if we want to please Almighty God, we will avoid this has something to do with the occult (even if it seems innocent or harmless to the surface). The reason is that the practices occult of any kind could train with the spiritual forces that oppose God and are in fact in league with the devil. I know it a strong statement, but I can not stress enough how spiritually dangerous it is to keep track of Satan rather than God's way. When the Ephesians who had practiced the occult became Christians, they "have made their (magic) scrolls together and burned them publicly" (Acts 19:19). They knew that there could be no compromise between their old lifestyle and the way of God. Do not try to resist the force of attraction you feel toward the occult in your own strength. Instead, turn to faith in Christ and ask him to come into your life and give you the strength Holy Spirit.
