How can I get a jar candle to burn evenly?

When I am burning jar candles (like the 22 oz. jars that you can buy at Yankee Candle) they oftentimes burn in a small circle around the wick of the candle. The wax on the outside of the circle is left unmelted, and then the small circle burrows down in the center of the candle (wasting the unburned wax and not looking very nice). Does anyone know how to get them to burn evenly throughout the entire surface of the candle? Thanks! : )

Can you burn a votive without the glass holder?

I bought a bunch and then realized we tossed all the old holders. Can I trim the wicks to make them burn nicely without making a mess?
Table candle holders are in no short supply around here, so I’ve got them to use if I can burn the votives like mini-table candles.

what are the best candles to burn?

i need a candle that not only smells good while it is NOT burning, but makes the entire house smell good while it IS burning. I have a 20-30ft. open staircase, so it needs to be a very strong but light sented candle. I do have partylite candles, walmart brand candles, and none seem to be working the way i want them to. I am also very concious about leaving them burn too long. a few yrs ago, we lived in a apt. complex and the idot next door to us let her kids play around a candle, the candle got knocked over and onto a electrical outlet and well, the fire started there and caught our place too. So, i need something that smells up the house quickly. Thanks so much!

Woodwick Candles Burn With the Wonderful Sound of a Crackling Fire

Woodwick candles are wonderfully scented candles that sound just like a crackling fire as they burn, and provide you with a delightful aroma. Better yet, the average Woodwick candle will last three times as long as a regular candle! These types of candles are found most often in country settings and country homes, and are most commonly found in “countryish” scents including sandalwood, pine, applewood and blackberry. Woodwick candles are very appealing because of their unique scents, how long they last, the fact that they give off sounds similar to that of a crackling fire in a fireplace, and because their unique decor allows them to blend in beautifully with any styled room. A Woodwick candle is most often found in a country home, but can definitely hold its own in an office or modern styled house. What can a Woodwick candle offer you? Benefits of owning Woodwick candles include:

Woodwick candles come in many different scents. For the holidays, stock up on Pure Vanilla, Almond Orange, Evergreen and Gingerbread. Christmas in particular means burning the beautiful Noel candle, which gives off a spicy scent that is a pleasant mixture of spruce, spiced berries and spicy cinnamon. For crisp autumn evenings, cuddle up with a blanket and be lulled by Woodwick candle scents including Pumpkin Butter, Spiced Plum, Fireside, Cinnamon Chai, Applewood and Caramel. Spring and summer seasons can be complemented with scents such as Cucumber, Cotton Flowers, Lemon Sage and Honeysuckle. The beauty of a candle is that it works perfectly in any room of the house. A candle burning in the kitchen can help to mask strong odors and to soften up otherwise harsh surroundings. Enjoy your dinner over scented candlelight, by adding two or three Woodwick candles to your table. Woodwick candles are right at home on living room coffee tables and end tables — just add music, romance or a family activity. In the bathroom, a Woodwick candle scented in Linen, Lavender or Cotton Flowers can help you to unwind and relax in the bath or shower. Candles are certainly at home wherever you put them.

Kimberly Green loves to set the mood with Woodwick candles of any scent. Burning Woodwick candles fill your room with the homey sound of a crackling fire.
